In certain cases, the use of the all-on-4 dental implant procedure can be used to support missing teeth. This procedure was developed and perfected by dentist Paulo Malo in Portugal. This procedure can be use to replace multiple missing teeth in a single visit most of the time.

The All-on-4 Procedure
At our Bowmanville dental office we offer numerous methods for replacement of missing teeth. Conventional dentures are the most affordable way for multiple missing teeth although long term tend make chewing function difficult.
How it Works
All-on-4 dental implants function and feel like natural teeth without having to worry about dental adhesives to keep your dentures in place. At our dental office in Bowmanville we can use a minimum of 4 dental implants for this procedure to retain your denture but often we will add further implants if space and bone volume permit it to get a better result !
In traditional methods, we often need to use 6 to 8 dental implants on the upper jaw and 4 to 6 dental implants in the lower jaw to retain new caps or crowns. With the All-on-4 procedure, some implants are placed on an angle on purpose which allows for less implants to be used to support your prosthesis.
The All-on-4 method is a great way of dealing with areas where it would be unsuitable to have implants especially in the back part of your mouth where often the jaw bone has shrunk over time. By placing the implants on an angle we can avoid the need for bone grafts and additional expenses associated with traditional treatment.
